The Community Leadership Alliance program provides an opportunity for current & future leaders to become more aware of the dynamics of issues facing our communities and to expand opportunities for leadership. SCORE - Service Corps of Retired Executives
The Platteville Area Chamber of Commerce is showing its support of SCORE by providing office space and personnel to take phone messages for this important tool for new businesses. We have placed information about our local chapter here.



Platteville Arboretum
"Katie's Garden" is considered "the Gateway" of the Platteville Community Arboretum. This arboretum borders the Rountree Branch Bike/Pedestrian Trail that runs from the Univ. of Wisconsin-Platteville through the city of Platteville. You will find a variety of gardens and natural areas that border the trail.

In Observance of the Holiday,

the chamber office will be closed on Thursday, November 24th

so our staff may enjoy the holiday with their families

 

FREE Movies on Thanksgiving Weekend! Free admission with a donation of $1 or a can of non-perishable food items to the Platteville Food Pantry. Prancer will be on Friday, November 25th at 10:00 am. Holiday Inn, starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire, will be Saturday, November 26th at 1:00 pm. Sponsored by the Platteville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Platteville Jaycees and Avalon Cinema. This is a great opportunity for family fun this weekend!

 

Santa is coming to town! Friday, November 25th @ 5pm. Santa arrives in town on the fire truck at 5pm in City Park to light the community tree and sing carols with the Platteville Children's Choir. Visit with Santa in the City Hall Auditorium from 5:30pm - 7:30pm. Treat bags, Cookies & Cocoa and FREE caricatures by Kevin Wilder. ATTACHED IS THE POSTER. Please pass the word along to anyone who might be interested!

 

Santa Bucks continues till December 31st, 2011 CLICK HERE FOR A LIST OF PARTICIPATING BUSINESSES. Auction will be on Saturday, January 7th at 11am at the Platteville Elks Club
