5-7 -- 11th Annual Historic Encampment @ Moundview Park  Free admission. Frontier Lifestyles & Occupations, Militia Demonstrations, Old Time music, Wares and Food.   Friday (Student Day) 8:30 am - 5 pm; Saturday 11 am - 6 pm; Sunday 10 am - 3 pm; Clothing Revue on Sunday at 12:45

21-23 -- Business Holiday Open House, Santa Bucks Promotion Begins  

23 --  Christmas in the Cabin -- 11 am to 3 pm @ the Platteville Chamber Office, 275 W. Business Hwy 151 in Platteville.  Select a special holiday gift from one of our Specialty Chamber member businesses . 

21 -- Santa Bucks Promotion Begins through Dec. 31.  Shop at "Participating Santa Bucks Merchants", bring your dated receipts to the Chamber and redeem them for "Santa Bucks".  "Santa Bucks" are the only currency accepted at the Platteville Chamber's Santa Bucks Auction on Jan. 3, 2009.  Contact the Chamber of Commerce for more information.  608-348-8888.

  28 -- FREE movie for Kids at the Avalon Cinema.  Bring a canned good or non-perishable item for your admission. Movie begins at 10 am.  Sponsored by Avalon Cinema, Platteville Jaycees, Dupaco Community Credit Union and Platteville Chamber of Commerce.  All donations benefit the Platteville Food Pantry.
