Experience Southwest Music Fest! Two full days of music, food, and community celebration on Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18, 2026, officially kicking off Platteville’s Hometown Festival Week in a big way.

Carrying the festival’s new tagline, “Rooted in Music, Fueled by Flavor,” the 2026 event marks the highly anticipated return of the beloved Hometown Hog Roast, bringing the celebration back to where it all began.

On Friday evening, July 17, the Hog Roast and live music will take place at Pizzeria Uno/The Annex. The evening will feature roasted pork, live entertainment, refreshing beverages, and a high-energy hometown atmosphere that reconnects the community to one of its favorite summer traditions.

Saturday, July 18, transforms Historic Second Street into a vibrant, walkable entertainment district filled with live music throughout the day. Start the day with the “Cure Your Hangover” Bloody Mary Tour and acoustic performances followed by regional bands across downtown establishments.  The Main Stage comes alive in the evening. Watch for more details on additional fun and entertainment as they develop.

This is a 21-and-over event. Wristbands purchased on Friday will be valid for entry on Saturday, allowing attendees to enjoy the full two-day experience with a single purchase. Seating is limited, and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Sorry, no pets or carry in food or drink.

About Southwest Music Festival

Southwest Music Fest has always been about supporting local businesses and creating a vibrant, community-wide experience.  The event began in 2011 as a community-driven Hometown Festival Hog Roast held at The Annex and organized by a group of dedicated community members. In 2016, the Platteville Regional Chamber assumed leadership of the event, evolving it into a music-focused celebration on Historic Second Street, designed to support downtown businesses during the summer season. Over the past decade, the festival has grown significantly in attendance, entertainment quality, and regional recognition while maintaining its strong hometown spirit.
